Our very own Anae Bain has passed her second colloquium officially completing all Ph.D. requirements (except for her dissertation)! She’s so close to getting that degree, great job (soon-to-be) Dr. Bain!

Congratulations are in order for Ph.D. Candidates Adam Alber and Anaé Bain! Adam earned the Outstanding Graduate Organic Teaching Assistant Award on the basis of exceptional performance as a TA and Anaé earned the Jerry J. Zuckerman Scholarship as a student pursuing a Ph.D. in organometallic or inorganic chemistry. Good job you two!!

We are incredibly excited to announce that our very own undergraduate researcher turned Summer researcher has now turned full graduate student as Monica Ness joins the Ph.D. program here at OU with plans of joining us in the Sharma lab! Sharma Lab Publishes Another Paper

Congratulations to Dr. Dinesh Paymode and the Sharma lab on successfully publishing another paper. This paper entitled “Rhodium-Catalyzed [3+2]-Annulation of ortho-Diazoquinones with Enol Ethers: Diversity-Oriented Total Synthesis of Aflatoxin B2” was published in the European Journal of Organic Chemistry and we couldn’t be more proud! Keep an eye out for it in the next issue!
