Dr. Sharma is Awarded and NIH-COBRE Grant!

The Sharma Laboratory was awarded an NIH COBRE Grant for their collaborative work in drug design with Dr. Yihan Shao (computational chemistry) at OU and Dr. Jialing Lin (biochemistry) at OUHSC.


Arianne is Awarded Top Departmental Award!

Congratulations to Arianne for being awarded the $1,500 Sherril D. Christian Scholarship from the University of Oklahoma Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. She was given this award on the basis of outstanding performance in research


Nick and Arianne Complete Required Colloquia

This semester Nick and Arianne were required to give two colloquia, one on a topic found in literature and one on their research, in Organic Seminar. Both completed this task successfully and are now only one dissertation away from being Doctors! 


Arianne is Attending the Natural Products GRC

Arianne was awarded a Carl Storm Underrepresented Minority Fellowship from the Gordon Research Conferences to attend the 2018 Natural Products and Bioactive Compounds Gordon Research Conference in Andover, NH


Nick's Attending the DOC Graduate Research Symposium

Nick was awarded the opportunity to attend the Division of Organic Chemistry Graduate Research Symposium in Bloomington, IN. 


Joe is officially a Ph.D. Candidate! 

Congratulations to Joe Stevens who passed his Ph.D. Candidacy exam with flying colors.  The Sharma Lab is excited to have a new Ph.D. Candidate in the laboratory to contribute to our research projects!


Arianne is Awarded Dissertation Completion Fellowship

Arianne was selected as 1 of the 7 awardees of the university-wide Nancy L. Mergler Dissertation Completion Fellowship at the University of Oklahoma.  This fellowship provides at $15,000 award to Ph.D. candidates in their final year of their studies 


Dr. Sharma Awarded NSF CAREER!

Many congratulations to Dr. Sharma for being awarded the prestigious NSF-CAREER Award! All the handwork was worth it!


Joe Passed his Preliminary Examination!

Congratulations to Joe for passing his preliminary exam! One more exam and he will officially be a Ph.D. Candidate!
